Palace Theatre Hotel
Palace Theatre is a grade II listed building in Swansea. Designed by the architect, Alfred Bucknall. The Palace was built in 1888, on a triangular site. The new proposed purpose of the building is a Boutique Hotel attracting tourists and locals to stay and bring the building back to life again. Palace Theatre Hotel contains guest rooms, cinema, bar and restaurant open to the public. The aim was to preserve the theatrical and cinematic feel.

Restaurant

Mixing contemporary with historical.
Open for these staying at the hotel as well as the outside public. Designed for 56 guests. As just one of the two purpose built music halls left in the whole UK felt appropriate to include something to represent it. A piano as the focus point links to the historical musical part and also gives a space for local performers.
The mood and materials are inspired by the existing building. The aim is to keep the theatrical mood. This has been done using dark tones. Keeping with the neutral colour palette gave the interior classiness.
The space feels warm through the warm toned hardwood flooring, the tables are made from high
pressure laminate, whilst all the soft furnishing are made using Camira Fabrics, designed especially for the hospitality industry.
Guest Rooms
Floor 1,2,3 and 4 all contain guest rooms of different sizes. From single rooms to double and master suits.

Basement
The Basement is split into different parts, a bar, cinema but also staff areas. Unlike the restaurant located on the ground floor, the basement is only for hotel guests.
